Summary of Fees and Commissions

Our Remuneration

Complete Financial Innovative Solutions Ltd trading as Complete Solutions

The Background

Complete Financial Innovative Solutions Ltd trading as Complete Solutions acts as an intermediary between you, the consumer, and the product providers with whom we place your business.

In accordance with Regulation 32 of the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48) (Consumer Protection) Regulations 2025, we publish a summary of our remuneration arrangements with product providers.

How We Are Remunerated

We may receive remuneration through:

  • Commission paid by product providers for arranging and servicing financial products, including life assurance, protection, pensions, investments and mortgages.
  • Fees charged directly to clients for advice or services provided, as outlined in our Terms of Business.
  • A combination of commission and fees, where applicable.

Where a fee is charged, the amount and payment arrangements will be explained to the client in advance. Where we also receive commission for the same service, we will explain whether that commission is offset against the fee.

Types of Commission

Initial or Single Commission

Commission paid by a product provider when a policy or financial product is arranged. This may be calculated as a percentage of the premium, contribution, investment amount or mortgage amount.

Renewal or Trail Commission

Ongoing commission paid by a product provider during the lifetime of a policy or investment. This may be calculated as a percentage of premiums, contributions or the value of funds under management.

Indemnity Commission

Commission paid in advance which may be subject to repayment to the product provider if a policy is cancelled, lapses or is otherwise terminated within a specified period.

Fund-Based Commission

Commission calculated as a percentage of the value of an investment or pension fund, where applicable.

Clawback

Clawback occurs where we are required to repay commission previously received from a product provider.

This may arise where a policy is cancelled, lapses or is terminated within a specified period. The applicable clawback arrangements depend on the product provider and the terms of the commission agreement.

Fees and Charges

We may charge fees directly to clients depending on the nature and complexity of the service provided.

Details of our applicable fees, including our mortgage application fee arrangements, are outlined in our Terms of Business.

Any applicable fee will be explained and agreed with the client before it is charged.

Other Remuneration and Non-Monetary Benefits

We may receive non-monetary benefits from product providers, such as product training, educational seminars, marketing materials and access to technical or administrative support.

Any such benefits must be managed appropriately to ensure that they do not improperly influence the advice or recommendations provided to clients.

Details of any additional agreed remuneration arrangements or benefits will be included in our provider remuneration disclosures where applicable.

Commission Arrangements by Product Provider

Complete Solutions generally operates standard commission arrangements for the products it recommends.

In certain circumstances, an alternative commission rate may be selected, subject to internal approval. This may result in a higher initial commission and a longer clawback period, depending on the product provider’s terms.

Where commission options are displayed as a range, the maximum commission that may be received is shown. The actual commission selected may vary depending on the following factors, where applicable:

  • The commission options available from the product provider.
  • The type and complexity of the product or advice required.
  • The premium, contribution or investment amount.
  • The duration of the policy or investment.
  • Whether the commission structure is negotiable.
  • Any restrictions or conditions imposed by the product provider.
  • Intermediary discretion, where permitted.

The commission arrangement selected must be consistent with our obligation to act in the client’s best interests and must not improperly influence the advice or recommendations provided.

Details of our commission arrangements, including standard rates, applicable variations, ongoing commission and clawback provisions, are available in our individual product provider commission schedules.
